Hello and welcome to this week’s policing update for Blakenhall!
At the start to our week, PCSO’s and PC’s assisted Fire colleagues and a neighbouring Policing team with road closures surrounding an industrial fire in Horseley Fields. Road closures are still in place, so please check before traveling. PCSO Travis also held a crime prevention stall at Bob Jones Community hub, thank you to residents who attended. Officers have made multiple arrests including - - One for shoplifting offences - Two wanted for failing to attend court and one for drink driving offences on Marston Road.
Stay safe this coming week and we shall see you next week.
📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅
Our next event will be announced in due course!
Noise Complaints In Wolverhampton noise complaints are primarily handled by the City of Wolverhampton Council or Wolverhampton Homes, rather than the police. Where to Report Council Tenants: If you are a Wolverhampton Homes tenant, report noise via Homes Direct at 01902 556789 or 01902 551188. You can also report anti-social behaviour online. Private Residents & Businesses: For noise from neighbours, pubs, or local businesses, contact the Environmental Health Public Protection Team at the City of Wolverhampton Council. Police (101 or 999): Only contact the police if the noise is accompanied by criminal activity (e.g., suspected break-in), immediate threats, or if the noise is from inconsiderate behaviour in a public space. The Process Informal Resolution: Authorities strongly advise trying to speak peacefully with the person responsible first, as they may not be aware of the issue. Evidence Gathering: You will likely be asked to keep a Noise Record (diary) for at least two weeks, detailing the date, time, duration, and how the noise affected you. Investigation: An officer may investigate and, if a statutory nuisance is found, they can issue a "noise abatement" order. Failure to comply can result in fines up to £5,000 for domestic noise or £20,000 for businesses. What is Generally Not Investigated Babies crying is considered a natural part of family life and is not typically investigated as anti-social behaviour. One-off occurrences (e.g., a single party) are rarely subject to formal action. For further advice, you can contact the City of Wolverhampton Council directly via their customer feedback channels or visit the Civic Centre.
